Stoneware Garden Ceramics Tuesday 18th February 10-3pm Mixed Ability
This is an opportunity to have a whole day on an extended project for the garden of your choice. Having this extended time allows for a larger project made out of a coarse stoneware clay. This clay and firing will be more suitable for the garden as it has more chance of surviving frost and is more durable. They will be finished with slips and later oxides if desired. The beauty of this clay is its toasted finish without too much glaze.
We will demonstrate a Chicken project to work on as a complete beginner but if you already have something in mind as a more experienced potter this is the perfect opportunity to try a new project.
Examples are:
House Name Plate
Bird Bath
Bird Feeder
Seedpods
There will be a tutor to assist in your project
